Euphorbia

Few hundred species, of which we offer only a few. All have toxic sap which is harmful if it gets onto your eye or soft skin/mucous membranes. Other than this, Euphorbia in general are easy to grow and very heat tolerant. They like moderate amounts of water and fertiliser to grow well. Generally speaking, they prefer bright light rather than full, hot sun. Many Euphorbia will tolerate indoor light levels as long as they get reasonably bright condiions, like near a window. Keep drier when under lower light than when in outdoors to prevent root rot.

Euphorbia

Euphorbia anoplia (Tanzanian Zipper Plant)
A striking, low-maintenance succulent featuring thick, ribbed green stems with unique zipper-like patterns and deep reddish-purple blooms along its ridges. Compact and beginner-friendly, it makes an eye-catching addition to sunny windowsills, desktops, or rock gardens.
Bring effortless style to your succulent collection with Euphorbia anoplia, commonly known as the Tanzanian Zipper Plant. Native to South Africa, this dwarf euphorbia grows in tight, architectural clusters of upright, 5- to 7-ribbed stems. The deep ridges are accented with distinct horizontal bands and tiny, dark purplish-red cyathia (flowers) lining the ribs.
Highly adaptable and resilient, Euphorbia anoplia thrives on neglect. It loves bright light, requires minimal watering, and naturally offsets over time to form dense, geometric mounds. Ideal for sunny interiors, patio pots, or xeriscape landscapes.
Care Level: Very Low (Great for beginners)
Light: Bright, direct to indirect sunlight
Water: Allow soil to dry out completely between waterings
Pet & Handling Note: Keep out of reach of pets and wear gloves when pruning, as stem damage releases a mild milky sap.
